Call for Virtual Mobility Grants 2023
Up to five grants of EUR1500 can be awarded within the 3rd Grant Period (activities must be performed and the report submitted by September, the 24th 2023).
The deadline for sending an application is the 1st of June 2023. The application must be submitted via e-cost platform (https://e-services.cost.eu/activity/grants).
Virtual Mobility consists of collaborative projects in a virtual setting among researchers or innovators within the COST action, to exchange knowledge, learn new techniques, etc.
WHO CAN APPLY
Prospective applicants must be Action participants with a primary affiliation to an institution located in a COST Full Member country and has/have to be affiliated to at least one of the working groups.
The activities expected to be performed by the successful applicant, but not limited to, are for example:
• Support for building and strengthening of textile networks
• Virtual mentoring that can generate capacity building and new skills
• Supporting harmonization and standardization of methods and procedures
• Compiling and evaluating online surveys supporting the action’s aims and objectives
• Organizing online workshops like ‘webinar series’
• Data analysis of the Action for a specific report or activity
• Supporting the implementation of research-related activities that do not necessarily require in-person presence, e.g. joint sub-projects dedicated to EuroWeb publishing
APPLICATION
The application shall be submitted in e-COST (https://e-services.cost.eu/user/login) and include the following information:
• The main objective of the Virtual Mobility Grant.
• Working Plan: Description of the collaborative initiative to be implemented.
• Plan for Participation: List of participants in the collaborative initiative (short
description of their expertise and contribution)
• Main expected outputs: results and contribution to the Action’s progress
• Contribution to the COST Action Strategy: How will Virtual Mobility contribute to the COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy and plans for stakeholder engagement and promoting the participation of researchers from NNC and IPC (COST Global Networking) and to the approved virtual networking strategy, if available.

SELECTION CRITERIA
• The selection of a successful grantee shall be based on contributions to the overall objectives of the Action.
• Clearly expressed and realistic benefits to the Action and its deliverables in the proposed description
• In the case of equivalent applications, the COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy will be implemented
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
The grantee must complete the Virtual Mobility Grant and submit a report to the Action Chair, Grant Awarding Coordinator and the Science Officer by September 24th 2023. The report must include:
• Description of the outcomes and achieved outputs (including any specific deliverables, or publications resulting from the Virtual Mobility).
• Description of the benefits of the COST Action Strategy (what and how).
• Description of the virtual collaboration (including constructive reflection on activities undertaken, identified successful practices and lessons learned).
